Jab "Mr. Clean Cutz" Lyles

This journey started back in 2005 when I was asked if I wanted to work in the Barbershop or walk the mile (which meant walking along the highway everyday picking up trash). I chose to walk the mile until I found myself one day living out a Bible verse about the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-22).

I lived that scripture day by day for the entire summer, fall, and winter seasons of 2005 untill I was again offered a position in the Barbershop. I took it. For the next 4 years I focused and worked on this craft and took all the advice given and pieced together my dreams of owning my own Barber Shop and how to help others avoid some of the mistakes I made in life.

In 2011, I decided that Clean Cutz would be what represents my style of cutting. I wanted my fades to appear neat, crisp, and clean. In 2012 I applied for a business license for Clean Cutz Barbershop while still working at other barbershops till I opened my own shop!

Opening my first shop in 2014 was not for the money, but for the position to be able to offer others this craft that I love so much through OJT program or Clean Cutz Barber School. I’ve stayed true to my dream even when it didn’t seem possible.  With no recognition of the word can't, I pushed forward, and was Blessed to form a team with some of the BEST Barbers in the industry. These Barbers, I call my brothers, my kids call Uncles, are the Pillars that the Clean Cutz Flag rest upon. We are one!

Haircuts can change appearances, but Barbers can change lives, one cut at a time!
